These are your tasks:

  • Advising customers and employees in foreign documentary business with a focus on planning, coordination and implementation of project deliveries with regard to letters of credit to be opened.
  • Advising clients on the opening of letter of credit transfers under UCP 600, in accordance with and in derogation of Article 38 UCP
  • Monitoring export controls within the framework of the sanctions guidelines
  • Development of strategic services and their implementation
  • Coordination and optimisation of work processes within the department and across departments within the company. 
  • Verification and approval of payments and settlements, entries in connection with import and export letters of credit, remittances and L/C transfers and back-to-back letters of credit
  • Creation and processing of L/C transfers and back-to-back letters of credit
  • Document verification and processing of export/import/transfer/and back-to-back letters of credit
  • Amendment and payment of import and back-to-back letters of credit
  • Settlement of confirmations and forfaiting
  • Selection and negotiation with service providers for the processing of letters of credit and transfers
  • Negotiating and purchasing external services, e.g. courier services, archiving and software services
  • Assumption of the role of risk officer

These are your tasks:

  • Verification of documents and processing of export and import letters of credit, collection and back-to-back letters of credit
  • Opening of import and back-to-back letters of credit with the associated customer advice 
  • Recording and processing of remittances
  • Settlement of forfaiting confirmations
  • Entry and notification of changes for export and import letters of credit 
  • Monitoring and settlement of def payment letters of credit 
  • Processing of major projects on an export letter of credit basis, i.e. special examination of the content of the letter of credit texts as well as the development of practicable solutions and, if necessary, further technical coordination with the credit front / back office departments.
  • Opening of transfer letters of credit according to customer specifications as well as notification of changes and checking and processing of documents under transfer letters of credit 
  • Support in the transformation of the document business
  • Takeover/participation in strategic projects of the bank

  • Completed commercial training as a bank clerk / forwarding agent / foreign trade clerk with export experience (m/f/d) or equivalent qualification

  • Processing of payment orders from correspondent banks and account customers (checking, authorisation, blocking if necessary)
  • Entry and release of payment transactions in the Deutsche Bundesbank system

  • Setting up and cancelling payment methods

  • Recording, control, release of transfers between nostro accounts
  • Disposition of nostro accounts
  • Recording and releasing mid and reference rates for the bank
  • Processing of complaints and creation of deposit confirmations
  • Monitoring of reporting obligations in foreign trade and forwarding to the reporting system

  • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and criminal offences
  • Independent development and updating of internal policies and procedures, in particular in the form of work instructions and appropriate business, customer and employee-related security systems

  • Preparation of a risk-orientated audit plan
  • Monitoring of compliance with the audit plan by the external auditors, including costs
