eihbank has been successfully supporting foreign trade transactions with Iran since 1971.
Since 2011, EU foreign trade with Iran has been subject to a large number of regulations that apply to certain individuals and companies as well as certain goods and services. This allows employees to quickly develop into specialists in this area within eihbank.
eihbank always takes strict compliance with these regulations very seriously. For this reason, eihbank has set up an internal competence centre that carefully monitors adherence to all compliance and sanctions regulations on a transaction-by-transaction basis.
As a German financial institution, eihbank is routinely audited by several supervisory authorities for compliance with regulations. In this context, the processes applied were regularly emphasised positively.
In addition, eihbank's competence team has developed its own training concept on this topic and regularly presents it in internal and external training courses. This means that eihbank's specialist expertise is also shared with the Iranian correspondent banks. This enriches European-Iranian foreign trade expertise on both sides and leads to a significant improvement in customer service with regard to the processing of letters of credit for exporters and importers.
Corporate Account Management is the first point of contact for national and international customers of the eihbank on all questions relating to accounts and payment transactions.

The employees in this area are particularly involved in monitoring the implementation of legal and regulatory requirements and providing advice on legal or regulatory issues
The main tasks in this area also include drawing up and updating the compliance strategy, analyses and work instructions, planning and implementing control measures and providing training on compliance issues. At the same time, employees in this area are responsible for the prevention of money laundering and criminal offences and check the results of automated and manual monitoring. The Correspondent Banking department looks after eihbank's network of national and international correspondent banks. The employees' tasks include the ongoing support of eihbank's banking partners in compliance with compliance and GW guidelines (AML/KYC). The creation of credit templates for the banking product portfolio with research and initial analyses of the financial circumstances is also part of the day-to-day business. The activities in the Correspondent Banking department are varied and exciting. Daily contact with eihbank's international partners offers development opportunities on many levels. As an ambitious team of credit specialists, we handle all issues relating to credit approval and the monitoring of ongoing credit commitments in the credit back office. We analyse credit projects and manage the progress of credit commitments. We not only cover traditional tasks such as analysis and contract management, but also implement regulatory requirements in the lending business.
In our day-to-day business, we analyse all disclosure and MaRisk-relevant loan documentation for predominantly international corporate clients and correspondent banks, prepare ratings for borrowers and guarantors and prepare the credit market approval of loan applications. In addition, we prepare and manage all necessary loan agreement and collateral documentation at eihbank. The corresponding work processes and the documentation of loan commitments are largely digitalised.
We also regularly adapt our work instructions and processes in the credit area on the basis of our findings.
The personnel department of the eihbank is responsible for all personnel-related tasks. Its tasks include administrative tasks such as payroll accounting, personnel administration and development and deals exclusively with personnel issues. The IT department of the eihbank operates and supports the entire IT infrastructure and the core applications of the company with a highly competent and motivated team. Bank.
